Old Newton Under Five's

We are a welcoming, committee-run preschool with strong ties to Old Newton Primary School and Bumps, Babes & Tots.
Children may learn both indoors and outdoors because we are located in Old Newton Village Hall and have access to a yard.
The In the Moment Planning approach is what we employ.
We have a terrific routine, structure, and boundaries and are very much child driven.
We push the kids to be as autonomous as they can be, preparing them not just for school but also for a variety of other experiences and the life skills they will need to grow and develop.
In November 2021, Jenny started working there as the preschool manager.
Jenny has 12 years of experience working primarily with 4 to 5 year olds in childcare and school.
Sadie joined our team in September 2018 to oversee the toddler group. She later worked as bank staff and will be a play assistant with us starting in 2021.
Sadie has years of experience working with children ages 0-5, in addition to having an NVQ level 4 in children's care, learning, and development.
In April 2022, Tamar entered the scene.
The setting welcomed Caroline in December 2021.
Caroline has more than 8 years of expertise in the childcare and academic fields.
Caroline is certified in childcare learning and development at the NVQ Levels 2 and 3.
At the moment, we have three play assistants that assist with covering the sessions at preschool. Gemma Gayfer, Sophie Thrower, and Katy Graham.
Jenny Springfield is our Special Educational Needs Co-Coordinator (SENCO), and Sadie Wright is our Deputy.
