The Head Teacher, who is the Designated Lead, is in charge of safeguarding at Oak View. Another top leadership team member has level 3 child protection training. We take a strict approach to safer hiring, ensuring that every employee is thoroughly vetted and regularly receives training on child protection. As deputy head when I started at Oak View in January 2008, I was promoted to head in 2010. My personal and professional experience has been the most incredible. To paraphrase a song, I have had the "time of my life." I am really proud of every person at Oak View, including the kids and teenagers, the staff, and the governors. Leading this incredible team has been a great privilege and pleasure for me. The success of all students, the devotion and commitment of all staff, and the support from the families and Governors all demonstrate Oak View's distinctiveness.
