From the Muddy Footprints
At Muddy Footprints, which is solely a pre-school, the majority of the instruction and learning will take place outside in a natural setting.
Play is the foundation of all learning, and your responsibility as an adult is to encourage your child's learning with enthusiasm.
Planning occurs within a framework that provides for flexibility and on-the-fly decision-making, allowing us to follow your child's interests. Our planning is founded on thorough observation and evaluation.
Research has shown that exposure to natural areas has considerable positive effects on all kids.
Playing outside is the best way for kids to learn how to explore, take risks, improve their fine and gross motor skills, and absorb a tonne of fundamental knowledge, just to name a few developmental activities.
The outdoors gives kids the chance to explore, experiment, manipulate, reconfigure, expand, influence, modify, amaze, discover, practise, dam up, push their boundaries, shout, sing, and create, as well as to improve their big and small motor skills and cardiovascular endurance.
An outdoor setting offers incredibly varied sensory experiences.
These include the common senses of touch, taste, sight, hearing, and smell as well as additional significant senses that are essential for the best possible development of the brain.
As a result, there is an excellent environment for youngsters to reflect their own cultures and stimulate extensive sociodramatic play.
Playing outside broadens one's knowledge and comprehension of the world and offers numerous chances for learning and growth in all areas of the Early Years Foundation stage.
Children who have access to a variety of outdoor activities are healthier and happier.
