Moorfield Primary School, which opened in 1963, is a two form entry primary in Hazel Grove, Stockport and is a maintained local authority school.
Responsibility, gratitude, compassion, and perseverance are values that we uphold.
We are currently working with the local authority on a significant renovation project across the entire school building as well as updating and upgrading our entire school curriculum since I started working there as the headteacher in September 2019.
In February 2018, the Office for Standards in Education (OSSE) gave the school a GOOD rating.
We have a solid staff that is dedicated to giving kids the best learning environment possible so they can reach their full potential.
All employees put in a lot of effort to keep the school a safe and joyful place where kids are inspired to become eager, imaginative, and lifelong learners.
Parents are encouraged to be active partners in their childrens learning through effective communication, regular information about childrens learning and progress, homework activities and a strong emphasis on developing childrens reading skills from an early age.
The Moorfield Home and School Association (MHSA), a strong parent-teacher organisation, plans events all year round so that parents can participate and help fund specialised school projects.
Our school benefits from the strong backing of an involved Governing Body, who make sure the school fulfils its obligations and offers value for the money.
