The Millfield Pre-School is governed by a volunteer Committee and has charitable status.
Please get in touch with Krysia Edwards or Rachel Griffiths at 01692 406378 if you're thinking about your childcare needs now or in the future, or send an email via the Contact Us page. We are eager to meet you and your kid.
We blend a continuous provision approach with planned activities tied to a half-termly theme at our preschool. The children can choose from a variety of options based on their present interests and talents thanks to this combination, which enables them to grow in confidence, self-esteem, independence, and other life skills.
The play spaces are furnished with high calibre materials. Staff members modify them to take into account kids' shifting interests and modern fashions.
Continuous evaluation (via observations, visual proof, and progress checks) is an essential step in the learning and growth process. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) has a legal obligation that every child be evaluated primarily by their designated Keyperson and that assessment be documented in the form of a Learning Journey.
All practitioners hold current Paediatric First Aid certifications as well as Early Year Safeguarding certifications from the Norfolk Safeguarding Childrens Board (NSCB). Currency is kept up. By participating in training sessions organised and endorsed by the Norfolk County Council and other outside organisations, practitioners keep up with and enhance their professional expertise.
Our pre-SEND school's (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) programme and its work with those families have earned it a positive reputation in the community.
All kids are eligible for government support at the beginning of the school year after their third birthday. This implies that up to five sessions of pre-school each week are FREE for your child.
If you have questions about whether your child qualifies for a free spot, call the Family Information Service at 0344 800 8020 or send an email to
