The first Montessori nursery was established in Rome by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori in 1907, marking the beginning of the Montessori Method. In contrast to traditional education, the Montessori method allows kids to select from a variety of provided activities, pursuing their own interests within a regulated environment, and using the discovery model to investigate their surroundings via practical play.
