From the School
The Magdalen College School is a unique location.
We are well into the sixth century today, and among our past students are academics, combat heroes, singers, Olympians, a Nobel Prize winner, a Hollywood director, and a saint.
We achieve this by developing each student's unique potential, and above all, we think that learning can be both enjoyable and rewarding.
Here, the vibe is both laid-back and disciplined, fast-paced yet grounded.
William Waynflete, a schoolmaster, bishop of Winchester, and Lord Chancellor of England, created MCS in 1480.
Magdalen College School, which is proud to make a significant contribution to our global university city, thereby offers a transforming education.
As part of our aim to make sure that people from various backgrounds continue to learn together and retain the school's diversity, we also provide substantial support with costs.
Even though our current students might not aspire to any or all of the professions mentioned above, we hope to motivate them by our success to succeed elsewhere.
Information for prospective parents and students, including details of Open Events and instructions on how to apply for a Bursary, can be found in the Admissions section.
The best way to understand what makes MCS such a special place is to meet our students and staff, therefore we look forward to having you here.
