Little Tewkes Nursery & Childrens Centre

The nursery contains one of Canvey Island's Sure Start Children's Centers and serves children ages 0 to 5.
Additionally, we offer after-school care for students up to the age of eight.
Amelia Blackwell founded the nursery in May 1960; it was first known as Amelia Blackwell before becoming Little Tewkes.
We offer complete disability access, a landscaped play area, and a lockable pram port, so you may leave your pram at the nursery with confidence that it will be secure.
We are registered with Ofsted and part of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
Every staff member is in charge of making sure that every area of play and learning is covered and treated equally to other areas.
Each employee must register with Ofsted and be cleared by the police and a doctor to work with youngsters.
