Little Steps (Higham Ferrers) Ltd

Heather Woolston and Karen Bounds are the owners and managers of Little Steps Day Nursery, and we'll both be on the staff there. Karen has a BEd Primary degree with Honors and numerous years of experience working with students ranging in age from 4 to 9 in a primary school setting. As a Level 4 HLTA, Heather spent several years working in a primary school where she amassed a wealth of information. Our team of highly skilled, certified, and committed employees, who share our love and respect for children, create a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for them to take their first "small steps" in learning. We cherish each member of the team, and our ongoing staff development and support initiatives reflect this. Three rooms make up our baby unit: a sleeping room, a room for smaller babies, and a room for toddlers. Each area is spacious, lively, and filled with a variety of age-appropriate activities. The Mulberry unit is made for kids between the ages of two and three. The kids in the Mulberry unit have access to five themed play spaces where they can learn a lot and have a great time. Our preschoolers at Little Steps participate in a variety of enjoyable, stimulating, and difficult activities that are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and are overseen by a licenced early years teacher.
