Three times a week at the most, our students will participate in Read, Write Inc. programmes.
This approach is used by nearby schools, so your child's participation in the programme will provide continuity and a seamless transition to school.
The letters and sounds (graphemes and phonemes) that kids need to learn in order to read and write confidently and independently will be presented to them.
Most kids will have successfully finished set 1 by the time they leave Little Rascals Pre-Prep and will be moving on to set 2 or 3.
The Early Years programme of study starts with easy Set 1 sounds, sound box exercises, role playing, and the construction of the first handwritten letters.
The subsequent phase includes further written assignments, blending (Set 2) sounds, and basic ditties.
The lessons are all delivered to the kids in an entertaining and engaging manner.
At Little Rascals Pre-Prep, mathematics plays an important role in the curriculum, therefore knowledge with and competence in the subject are essential.
Making math as entertaining and interesting as you can is the key to doing this.
Through age- and ability-appropriate practical, conceptual, and written mathematical exercises, children are exposed to numeracy.
Each day, we will introduce a new topic to the entire class, and the kids will then work in small groups to further their comprehension.
At Little Rascals, we take pleasure in the breadth and depth of practical activities that children participate in from the very beginning of their education.
We will combine a variety of real-world experiments that correspond with our current topic throughout each term.
