Little Learners

The pre-school operates out of a sizable room located in the neighbourhood scout hut, providing a secure atmosphere where kids between the ages of 2-4 connect with each other while taking part in a range of enjoyable learning activities. We have a small group of devoted employees that serve as your child's keyworkers for the duration of their term at the setting. We follow the EYFS, where kids of all ages play and learn together, and are registered with Ofsted.
We have a partially grassed, partially slabbed outdoor space with a sand and water play area, a place for bikes, and a separate space with slides, sea-saws, and a climbing structure.
We adhere to a variety of targeted activities/topics that are determined by the children's interests.
We begin the day by wishing the kids a good morning and taking their registration. This includes tallying the number of kids, discussing the weekday, and discussing the weather. After that, kids engage in a mix of unstructured play, kid-led activities, and adult-led ones. Messy play, mark-making, role-playing, construction, the use of fine motor skills, and creativity are all examples of this.
Snack time involves choosing from a variety of fruit, vegetables, yoghurt, whole-wheat toast, or raisins while adhering to our healthy eating policy. Children get the ability to participate in a variety of group discussions and turn-taking activities during circle time, which also gives them the chance to expand their vocabulary. The next phase of physical activity includes a variety of indoor and outdoor pursuits like dancing and using equipment. Following that, the kids can unwind and practise listening during story time.
