Little Lambs Preschool

Since opening in the Good Shepherd church hall in January 1998, Little Lambs Pre-school has received three consecutive "Outstanding" ratings from Ofsted. We recently updated our Ofsted registration, and an inspection is currently scheduled. To provide every child with the greatest early start possible, we work in cooperation with parents using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework as our guide. When they start working for us, every member of the staff is given a keyperson role and is trained and extremely skilled in interacting with children ages 2 to 5. The keyperson will make plans that take into account each child's unique developmental needs, interests, and preferred learning style. Children learn best through play. The child's progress is shared with the parents each term, and future goals are discussed. We regularly use the playground and the garden, two outdoor areas that are available to us. Additionally, we offer an inside area where kids may dance, play ring games, perform yoga, and ride bikes and scooters. We are a sugar savvy setting, therefore we're attempting to decrease the amount of sugar kids consume in their diet. Parents are required to provide a nutritious lunch for the group lunch that includes kids and staff. Working parents who qualify for 30 hour financing do not have to pay any extra costs.
