Leaside Under Fives Kindergarten

Leaside was founded in 1994 and began accepting students with a 13-child intake. As we have developed, we are currently able to accept 38 students per session.
Operating out of Leaside Church Hall is the Kindergarten.
Five days a week, from 9 am to 3 pm, our kindergarten is open.
Leaside's admissions approach is to open up the Kindergarten to kids and families from all facets of the neighbourhood.
Positions are given out in the order they were added to our waiting list, but not before a kid turns two years, six months old.
A minimum of two sessions per week will be offered to children under three.
Before this, each 3-hour session will cost 16.50.
Leaside Kindergarten adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage standards (2021).
The foundation of a child's development is made up of seven developmental domains, which are classified into two groups: prime and specific.
Each kid will have a learning journal, which the staff will fill out with observations made when each of the seven growth categories was reached at various levels.
After a kid enrols in Leaside Kindergarten, the parent or caretaker will be invited to the facility after the child has attended the first five sessions so they can meet with their child's key worker for the first time.
Following the Governments response to the consultation on The Regulation of Childcare published 13 February 2014, the EYFS statutory framework has been updated and will be in effect from 1 September 2021.
