Lavenham Pre-School

Lavenham Pre-school is a business that was established as a charitable organisation on July 1st, 2019. It had previously run as an unincorporated charity. The Pre-Constitution, school's to which a link is provided in the section titled "Constitution and Policies," serves as its governing document. An elected Board of Trustees with a wide spectrum of expertise and experience oversees the Pre-school. The Board of Trustees holds regular meetings. Parents are encouraged to join our board of trustees and help with our fundraising efforts. Ofsted conducts frequent inspections of the Pre-school. The first inspection under its current legal incorporation and in our purpose-built facility took place on October 1st, 2021, and a GOOD report was given. The Government Funding Grant for Early Years Education and fees collected for unfunded sessions help the Pre-school support itself. We also accept donations through our involvement as Lavenham Pre-school in the Easyfundraising programme (https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk), as well as through a variety of fundraising events. Our curriculum is organised according to a codified structure called the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). On September 1, 2021, a new EYFS will be implemented. For further information, see Recent News below. For you and your kid, we provide taster sessions so that parents and staff can collaborate while each child is settling in. During this period, kids will have a key person assigned to them. To provide a seamless transition into our setting, this staff member will work with both you and your kid. To help with this, we give you an All About Me Booklet to fill out, which you may use to tell us about your child's growth, preferences, etc.
