To foster children who are inspired, compassionate, and confident, our preschools place a strong emphasis on a safe, secure, and joyful atmosphere.
Launchpad Early Years was established in 2019 and three Launchpad preschools were developed throughout the diocese in the villages of Barton Stacey, near Winchester, Appleshaw, near Andover, and Boldre, near Lymington. Launchpad Early Years was born through the work of Diocese of Winchester's Social Enterprise (WSE), an independent charity chaired by the Bishop of Winchester.
Similar to church schools, our Launchpad settings have a wide Christian ethos and are built under the Church of England's Vision for Education.
Launchpad was established to build and improve connections between successful Church of England Primary schools and their local churches for the benefit of young children, their families, and the larger community.
Through four fundamental components that are woven throughout the Vision for Education, the care and development of the young children for whom we are responsible, and the families we support, Launchpad, a programme integrated into the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, aims to foster awareness and development.
Regarding the freedom of religion and belief, we invite people to share from the depths of their own customs and knowledge in order to benefit all of us.
The guidelines for the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, which is used in our settings, are as follows: Every kid deserves the best start in life as well as the encouragement they need to reach their full potential.
Children grow swiftly in their early years, and the events between birth and age five greatly affect a child's prospects for success in the future.
The EYFS is built on play, which can take place inside and outside, in the community, in groups or alone.
Children may practise new concepts and abilities, take chances, use their creativity, and find solutions to difficulties while playing.
To stimulate their interests and prepare for their future steps, we will provide our kids the chance to develop their creativity and abilities via a range of indoor and outdoor games and activities. Play is generally natural and spontaneous for most kids.
