Congleton's Davenport Methodist Church has a unique childcare facility called Ladybugs and Slugs Forest School.
These consist of a home education group, vacation club, stay and play toddler group, and an outdoor nursery.
We employ a gentle parenting style in our setting, and we have a high staff-to-child ratio, allowing us to completely assist the kids and offer a secure setting with excellent interactions.
The kids are free to play, learn, explore, and just be themselves.
Building fond memories and a love of the world in kids is something we believe is part of our job to do in order to help them become responsible and kind adults.
Incorporating a gentle parenting style with Steiner's educational philosophy, we believe that learning is fundamentally a three-part process that involves the mind, heart, and hands.
We offer a loving, all-encompassing approach, working with the kids in a way that is incredibly kind and empathetic, with plenty of fun and creativity thrown in.
There are several options accessible to the kids in all of our groups; to name just a few: Free time to enjoy and fully engage with nature, plant and animal knowledge, building dens and other types of shelter, fire safety, tool safety, storytelling, sharing, reflection, and creativity, as well as improved focus and attention, emotional intelligence, environmental knowledge, independence, risk assessment, healthy decision-making, improved self-perception, balance and coordination, fine motor skills, and friendship.
to provide a roomy, demanding setting for child-driven learning and play.
Encourage and grow each child's capacity to engage in and feel comfortable with self-driven learning and discovery.
Every youngster should be encouraged to take care of the environment and everything in it.
Every employee has undergone training in emergency first aid, food safety, and safeguarding in addition to having an improved DBS check.
We received support from numerous neighbourhood businesses throughout the course of Ladybugs and Slugs.
We would want to express our gratitude for your professional counsel, time, encouragement, support, gifts, and donations.
