In April 2011, the government launched the Pupil Premium Grant.
Children who qualified for free school meals, kids in foster care, and kids whose parents worked for the military all received support for their education.
The PPG, which ensures that financing to combat disadvantage reaches the students who need it most, is seen by the government as the most effective strategy to address the current, underlying disparities between these kids and their classmates.
We make sure that all of the school's students receive instruction and learning experiences that are appropriate for them.
We make sure that the proper provisions are made for students who are a part of vulnerable groups, including making sure that the needs of students from disadvantaged social backgrounds are properly assessed and met.
In the event that the school identifies a student or group of students as being socially disadvantaged, we reserve the right to allocate Pupil Premium cash to support those students or groups.
Literacy and numeracy will be the areas of emphasis.
