With over 30 years educational experience I can honestly say that there are many good teachers, with some outstanding ones (eg Mr Youldon) and the admin team are great. But the senior management team is completely incompetent. I have had to refer them directly to OFSTED on 3 separate occasions on Safeguarding issues. The principal and vice principals are usually derogatory in direct emails (certainly deluded at the least).
There are many good teachers with some outstanding ones (eg Mr Youldon) and the admin are very helpful. But the Senior Management Team (SMT) is completely incompetent. So much so I have had to refer them 3 times directly to OFSTED over serious failings in Child Safeguarding. Emails from the SMT are often derogatory. Terrible experience as a supply teacher. Not given access to class charts, so impossible to log behaviour issues. Pupils regularly disruptive and management failing to support staff. Mock exam dates changed at last minute ( pupils not happy about this) to allow the principal to use the large hall for a school pageant. Pupils get away with disrupting classes making it extremely difficult for conscious learners. Kids even wear ear plugs to work in a...
I taught here as a supply teacher and found there to be constant disruption in many classes I covered. The discipline system isn’t really rigid enough to provide a good learning environment in the classroom. Pupils get away with refusing to follow orders from teachers. One pupil challenged 3 members of staff and was still able to attend the class the following morning. I actually felt victimised and bullied by up to half the class....
