At Kenilworth Nursery School we seek to inspire and nurture the foundations of lifelong learning through the use of highly qualified excellent practitioners and the provision of a high quality secure and stimulating environment, which facilitates a wide range of learning opportunities for children. We recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of every child and believe each has capabilities and skills and offer a broad and creative curriculum. We foster trusting relationships that support children's confidence and self esteem. Through careful observation and skilled work beside the child we encourage children to extend their thinking and engagement in learning opportunities and co-construct learning with the child.

Kenilworth Nursery School has been recognised as an 'outstanding school' in four consecutive Ofsted inspections and has been recognised nationally for its outstanding environment and work with children. We gained Early Years Teaching Centre status in 2011 due to the high quality teaching as part of a national research project for the DfE, which was fulfilled by full national Teaching School designation in 2016.

Opening Hours
The Nursery School and Nurture Nursery are open during term time. For more details on session times and extended sessions please go to our Nursery Overview section.
The Early Years Teaching School (EYTS) runs alongside the Nursery School but may also operate specific extended services or training during school holiday periods. Such additional services will be detailed in our timetable section as they occur.

Location and Parking
Our main Nursery School entrance is located next to Castle Medical Centre on Bertie Road (opposite the Waitrose carpark). This is also the entrance for Breakfast and Teatime Club, Make Music and Stay & Play sessions. There is a separate entrance for our Nurture Nursery, which is down the footpath that runs directly along the side of the Nursery building. Both entrances operate on a secure buzzer system for safeguarding purposes.
There is very limited free parking for a maximum of 15 minutes at the very end of Bertie Road on the right hand side by the Waitrose junction. Other than this, all parking is metered along Bertie Road and there is also chargeable parking nearby in Waitrose and Abbey End car park (next to Wilcos).
