From the Hunsley Primary
Hunsley Primary provides its students with a first-rate, child-centered education that aids in their growth as self-assured, active thinkers with inquisitive minds. Our 'big questions' and thematic investigations enable children to learn across the wider curriculum through discovery and observation, developing their ability to think, reflect and to find creative, problem-solving solutions. As the first free school in East Yorkshire, Hunsley Primary opened in September 2015 in Melton, close to Brough. In December 2018, we moved into our brand-new building on Bluebird Way, which is a part of the Brough South development, after initially opening our doors on our own custom site as part of the South Hunsley School campus. Hunsley Primary is managed by The Education Alliance Multi Academy Trust, along with South Hunsley, Driffield, and Malet Lambert Schools. Hunsley Primary also gains from being a member of the Wolds Teaching School Alliance and Teacher Training group, placing professional development at the centre of our staff experience. An inclusive, nurturing school with high aspiration for all its children, Hunsley Primary makes the most of its unique links with South Hunsley, offering an exciting curriculum shaped for pupils on their learning journey from 4 to 19 years of age. Collaboration, support, and growth for everyone are the cornerstones of our team's mentality.
