To assist students in their return to school, Howe Dell is using the Recovery Curriculum; a letter with additional details is provided.
What can I anticipate as a key component of the Howe Dell experience with regard to a healthy lifestyle?
The consequence has been an increase in the number of students receiving school meals from 93 to 155, with this number rising on Wednesday and Friday when special meals are offered. Induction for new parents involves an invitation to school lunch.
We welcome Free School Meals in KS1 for all kids beginning in September 2014 and intend to serve as a Hertfordshire County training kitchen.
The governors have elected to pay for KS2 milk from 2015 for pupils who come from low income families, funded by Pupil Premium, but with an encouragement for any child to access this free or otherwise.
Parental involvement is strongly advised.
The minimum is two hours of high-quality PE instruction every week, including possibilities outside of school (including grants to support vulnerable groups, all of which has been analysed to review impact).
In order to promote safer journeys to school, the travel plan calls for walking to local activities and the procurement of school bikes.
