Welcome to the webpage for the Houghton Community Nursery Schools. A Local Authority school, Houghton Community Nursery employs certified teachers, nursery nurses, and support workers. Each member of the staff has extensive experience and collaborates closely with the kids. As a result of the team's willingness to listen to the kids and their interests, both the kids and the staff frequently embark on individual learning journeys. We value each child individually and value difference. Therefore, we make sure that everyone is taken into account, that they matter, and that their specific needs are satisfied. The learning environment is highly valued at Houghton Community Nursery since it is seen as the third teacher. Children's curiosity and understanding are deepened by the staff's frequent use of novel, intriguing, or actual objects as provocation. Our goal is for every child who enrols in our programme to grow and develop into an autonomous, self-assured, compassionate, and responsible young learner who leaves with a genuine love of learning. We are thrilled to welcome our living eggs this semester, where we will have the chance to raise our very own chicks. Children are welcome to visit the nursery dressed as a favourite book character.
