Horsell VIllage After School Club

Welcome to the website's section devoted to the governors of the Horsell Village Schools.
This will describe the duties of our school's governors.
Briefly, decisions like staffing, curriculum, admissions, buildings, and finances must be made by the Local Governing Body as a whole.
We lend a hand, encourage, test, and inquire.
A large part of our role is to be a critical friend and to help Jane Reeve and the team set the direction and tone of the school as well as making sure all the necessary policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
How will this benefit the students at The Horsell Village School has been at the centre of our conversations.
Six Governors make up the Local Governing Body of The Horsell Village School at the moment, including Miss May, our staff representative.
All of us have had children at the school at some point, and two of our governors are parents of current students.

The aim of this is to keep everyone in our school community up to date and informed of the sorts of things that the Governors have been involved with in respect of supporting and challenging the school.
The long term goal is to help everyone be more aware of the role of the governing body.
