Hodnet Pre-School Playgroup

In the picturesque village of Hodnet in the county of Shropshire, the Pre-school is housed in a portable structure on the premises of the Primary School. Even though we run independently from the school, we still have excellent relationships with them and participate in playdates, storytimes, and other events together. The design of the facility encourages youngsters to wander freely and without difficulty while still feeling secure in their surroundings. At pre-school, we encourage kids to be self-assured and independent in their decisions, and the room's layout facilitates this. We consider the outdoors to be an important learning location and work to provide as much free flow access to the area as we can during the day. Our outdoor play areas provide a range of learning opportunities for kids and are made to promote access to all subject areas in a natural setting. We have a sizable climbing structure, bicycles, automobiles, playhouses, a mud pit, and many of other things. Staff members make sure that there are activities available to promote early literacy and numeracy in an outdoor setting. Activities are planned after carefully observing each child and monitoring and evaluating their specific needs and interests.
