Highwood Nursery

At Highwood, we work hard to set the bar locally for excellent Early Years Education and Care practises.
Many parents and caregivers have grown to rely on us as their first choice for childcare throughout the years, in large part because of the devotion and dedication of our knowledgeable and experienced staff.
These guidelines are outlined in our behaviour management policy and are visible to children in the nursery.
Highwood Nursery's facilities are accessible Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The entire year, we are open 50 weeks.
The Nursery accepts hourly or half-hourly reservations for sessions.
To ensure that your kid takes full advantage of the opportunities offered to them, we do ask that you schedule a minimum 4-hour morning or afternoon session for them.
Every week, there must be at least two programmes for kids to attend.
If you want to adjust your child's hours or decide your kid no longer needs to attend the Nursery, you must give one month's written notice.
The Childcare Manager or one of her deputies should be contacted in advance to schedule these settling sessions.
Please be aware that these seminars are free.
Depending on your kid's age and prior nursery experience, we advise you to stay with your child for one to two hours during your first visit.
We advise you to stay with your child during your second visit until he or she is content for you to depart.
We will recommend scheduling another settling session if your child is still uneasy after these two sessions.
Every settlement is dependent on the child.
The purpose of settling sessions is to make sure that your child doesn't feel abandoned.
According to our experience, spending time settling your youngster is time well spent.
At Highwood, we encourage kids to explore their surroundings, which could occasionally result in them getting their clothes soiled.
As a result, kindly make sure that your youngster is dressed in easily washable attire that he or she should not worry about getting soiled.
This will either be aided or hampered by the clothing you provide for your child to wear.
Because of this, especially when potty training, please carefully evaluate your child's attire and make sure it is simple to take off.
We don't typically stay inside because of the weather, so it's crucial that you send your kid to us dressed appropriately.
Please provide your child a named bag that they can hang in their room for their personal items.
Your child's name must be written on every piece of clothes.
For the purpose of promoting a nutritious, well-balanced, and varied diet, the Nursery offers a choice of freshly prepared foods.
Childrens individual dietary requirements are requested from the childs parent/carer on registration and updated as necessary through regular communication.
