The Hermitage Village Hall is home to our excellent preschool, which has wonderful areas for your kid to study, play, and develop.
to encourage kids to play with other kids and share toys and activities.
to encourage the development of an environment that is free of bias and discrimination for learning.
I've been involved with the preschool for a long time, and I'm happy to be managing it today with a dedication to giving young children the best outcomes.
I like my job and get along with everyone on the team at Hermitage Preschool.
I started working with kids in May 2015 after receiving my diploma in childcare and education nine years earlier.
My three children, who have all attended the Pre-school, are the result of a hiatus I took from working in childcare to raise my family.
I returned to the industry by working as bank staff at the preschool, and I'm happy to say that I'm now a permanent employee.
I like working with the kids and seeing how they develop in their surroundings.
The voluntary group that oversees Hermitage Pre-school is a recognised charity.
The committee oversees the hiring of employees, handling of fees and money, fund-raising, and maintaining the smooth operation of the Pre-school. It meets every half-term.
Participating is a fantastic way to network with other parents and support your child's pre-school education.
Please let us know if you are interested in joining the committee or if you have talents you would like to share with the kids (such music, dancing, art, or crafts).
The government-mandated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is utilised by Hermitage Pre-school.
The learning and development framework consists of seven sections, which are further divided into Prime and Specific areas.
Additionally, the three primary regions are enhanced and implemented through the following specific areas:
Artistic Expression and Design - (Exploring and using media and materials, being imaginative).
Every child in our care receives stimulating and engaging activities every day.
We are always providing engaging, carefully planned play, learning, and development activities. (We acknowledge and value the individuality of every child in the environment, and we model respect for diversity in others and themselves by our own actions, a variety of resources, and the use of inclusive practises.
We all constantly improve our professional knowledge, abilities, and experiences, and we share these with our coworkers (through on-the-job training, off-the-job experience, and other experiences) to keep the work environment stimulating and current with laws, best practises, and great ideas/techniques.
We at Hermitage Pre-school are honoured to participate in the regional West Berkshire ECAT project.
ECAT in West Berkshire is currently funded by the local authority.
ECAT focuses on fostering young children's communication abilities through working with pre-school environments.
A lead practitioner (also known as an ELLP) who attends termly cluster meetings is part of the entire team that works in the setting and is active in supporting ECAT.
Please visit the West Berkshire ECAT website at http://www.westberksecat.info for further information and resources.
