GNFC is a Christian based registered charity that exists to show Gods love & care in practical ways through a wide range of approaches that aim to reach the whole family.
To break the cycles of abuse and addiction, to promote the growth of strong supportive relationships to improve the prospects for the current and future generations, and to have a positive and long-lasting impact in the community by the influence of each transformed life affecting the whole are all part of our vision.
Our innovative method of caring for a woman AND her children is based on two homes, one in Buxton where we can look after young children in our own, Ofsted-registered nursery while Mom is attending her programme.
The second is a farm on the outskirts of the lovely Derbyshire National Park where participants may pick up a variety of skills while also taking in the fresh air and breathtaking vistas.
We are skilled at helping the family unit transition from reliance to independence and remain by their side even after they have moved out and begun a new life in the neighbourhood.
In a safe, judgment-free setting where it is acceptable to take risks and fail, we serve as role models for a sense of family and belonging.
Through working together with local agencies and churches our vision is to make a positive impact in the community.
The assistance provided is specifically suited to each resident's needs as determined by their self-assessment, our risk assessment, and the Wheel of Wellbeing Plan.
Our team is committed to helping people reach their goals throughout their stay.
We adhere to a holistic philosophy that places a strong emphasis on leading a healthy, balanced life.
In collaboration with the referring agency, we provide residents with a care plan that is individualised to match their needs.
At GNFC, we recognise the value of offering a high calibre, professional service that is secure and satisfies the needs of each person we assist.
It is the mission of Good News Family Care to strengthen the family, promote a return to Christian family values, and provide as a safety net for distressed families.
Whatever the situation, we strive to offer the right amount of assistance and support in a compassionate, judgment-free environment.
