Being a part of the community at The Lea Primary School and Nursery is great. We have an excellent working relationship with parents and caregivers, competent and devoted staff, committed governors, and most importantly, spirited, passionate kids. Together, we put in a lot of effort to assist the kids reach their full potential.
On the north-east corner of Harpenden, the school is situated in a serene neighbourhood. We are a warm, one-form entry school that accepts boys and girls between the ages of three and eleven. All students are taught the value of attention and respect for other people and their beliefs in this small school's caring, family environment. Visitors regularly remark on how welcoming this place is. Our team is highly compassionate and dedicated, and they work hard to make sure that every lesson is engaging, difficult, and pertinent for our students. This results in our kids being happy to come to school and being well cared for.
When they graduate from Year 6, the vast majority of our students transfer to secondary schools in Harpenden, including St. George's, Sir John Lawes, Roundwood Park, and Katherine Warrington School.

Reception Child, 2021: We are quite happy that we decided on The Lea for our baby. With the assistance of Mrs. Gallagher and the early years staff, he has integrated into Reception quite successfully. Opportunities like attending a Forest School and using the Buddy system are fantastic. The school offers a wonderful sense of community, which we love!
