Gainsborough Adventure Playground

President of the Rotary Club Chief Inspector Sempers and officials from the National Playing Fields Association first established GAPA in 1973.
In August 1974, GAPA launched its first holiday play project. In May 1975, the organisation applied to register with the Charity Commission.
Over time, the adventure playground has evolved into a beloved service for kids and families.
GAPA was initially founded in 2007 as a Company Limited by Guarantee and is a Registered Charity. In 2011, the original charity's ownership was transferred to GAPA Ltd.
through offering services or facilities designed to meet their needs, to alleviate the needs of young people and their families that dwell in Gainsborough and the surrounding area.
Early in 2019, Sophie began working for GAPA as a playworker. Since then, after earning her level 3 Playwork accreditation, she has worked her way up into management of GAPA.
Sophie has previously held positions in both secondary and higher education.
Since the beginning of the epidemic in 2020, Mollie has been employed at the adventure playground.
She has some incredible suggestions for how GAPA may develop and advance for the benefit of all kids.
Therefore, it is wonderful to have her on the team.
