First Steps Playgroup

First Steps is a neighbourhood playgroup with charitable status that is operated by a committee of committed volunteers who are in charge of the organization's management and rules. About ten times a year, the committee meets, and parents and caregivers are always welcome to attend and participate. Elections for the committee take place during the AGM, which happens every year around October.
At First Steps, we have a team of 10 Care Givers that take great satisfaction in fostering an environment where kids, adults, and parents/caregivers may all feel at home and completely secure.
32 kids between the ages of 2 and 5 are allowed to attend the playgroup at once.
During the school year, the playgroup is typically open every morning (except Tuesday) from 9am to 12noon and every afternoon (except Tuesday) from 12.30pm to 15.30pm. Children who are staying the entire day are welcome to stay in between programmes and bring a packed lunch to share at 12.30 p.m.
Children are cared for in a cosy, secure, spotless, and kid-focused setting that includes a covered outside play area. With clearly defined play spaces and enough space between each activity to engage in quiet and physical activities, children may walk about and play in an organised environment with ease.
All of our activities encourage children's independence, choice of activities, and decision-making abilities.
During the morning session, a variety of nutritious snacks are offered; the menu is visible to parents and caregivers.
