Instead of using the terms nursery or preschool to describe our facility, we use the term "Kindergarten."
This aligns with our emphasis on providing chances for outdoor play and learning, as well as our inspiration from international pedagogies, because it gives kids access to a wide variety of green places in the great outdoors.
With a focus on outdoor learning and natural learning methods, we use a child-centered approach.
Since when is a particular period for freedom and inventiveness if not early childhood?
The first of our two locations is in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire.
The second, situated at Parndon Wood Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) near Harlow, Essex, will open in September 2021.
A setting that is influenced by the Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and Forest School approaches to early children care and education. A personalised, personalised approach to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
This means, to us, a significant emphasis on outdoor learning, the notion that the environment serves as a child's third teacher, linkages with the community, a subject-based method of instruction that combines connections to the natural world and our immediate surroundings and is heavily influenced by firsthand observations of children at play.
Wherever feasible, our materials and tools are derived from nature.
At a nearby location, we have an allotment plot.
Children can use our all-in-one wetsuits when off-site.
East Hertfordshire's Much Hadham is a semi-rural community.
The village has a fascinating past and is rather old.
Through our local museum and its helpful curator, we have learned about an ancient prisoner of war camp, a palace, a police station, a wealth of history, and historic roadways and walkways.
Although homes have existed in Much Hadham since the fifteenth century, we are unquestionably the first outdoor early childhood environment.
It is extremely stunning, and we believe that a classroom without walls is probably the finest type for young children.
The neighbouring woods, our allotment, and the other lovely green areas just outside our door in the village are all great places for the kids to learn and play.
We recognise the value of having alternatives accessible so that those of us with young children may select a daycare facility that actually fits our needs as a family and the very distinct learning styles of each young kid.
