From the Fairstead House
Fairstead collaborates extensively with neighbourhood associations, organisations, and charities in an effort to play a significant role in the neighbourhood. A wide variety of neighbourhood nonprofit organisations receive regular assistance, including Racing Welfare, which annually hosts a Carol Concert with Fairstead House and has prominent participation from our young musicians and choristers. Harvest Festival gifts are given to the Open Door Charity, which supports the rehabilitation of homeless people in the Newmarket region, after being collected at Harvest Festival services. Days without uniforms are held to raise money for Jeans for Genes or the East Anglia Air Ambulance service. Each year, St. Agnes Church collects funds for Lent and Ascension that are split between the church and the Joe Homan Charity to sponsor a young girl's education in India.
