With the help of technology, our cultural landscape is changing quickly, and young people are now at the epicentre of this transition. The two things that matter most in this context for young people to do well are that they study what they love and value and that they feel safe, liked, and confident in their learning community. We provide secondary school students between the ages of 14 and 19 with an alternative kind of education. First and foremost, the learning environment is "grown up" because we are a specialised university technical college. Students will need to be driven personally, have a love for our areas of expertise, and be prepared to put in longer college days. They will learn how to be professional, employable, and flexible learners because media arts practise is changing daily in our field due to technology. We offer young people possibilities not accessible at many other mainstream secondary schools, including working with our industry partners on professional production briefs, through inspiring, creative, and practical learning experiences. Our employees are true professionals in their fields with a high degree of credibility. Post-16 students have access to a very reliable array of academic and professional-recognized credentials from which to choose their courses. Because we are a university college affiliated with the University of Hertfordshire, we have excellent access to higher education and advice on continuing our studies. Even though we are only in our fourth year, our practical and industry-relevant studies receive very high marks, and we have already seen some of our graduates continue their education and find employment in fascinating and important institutions.
