Eastbourne Montessori School

The Old Chapel Centre in Alfriston is where we are situated. A classroom filled with a complete set of Montessori materials is housed in the special, light-filled room and is set up in a way that is child-friendly. There are now no more than fifteen kids enrolled in each session of our serene, supportive community. The safe outdoor area offers a garden for the kids to play in as well as a separate area for growing things. As a rural community, Alfriston offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation and wildlife observation. ESMS offers a pre-school experience where the focus is on learning and developing in a hands-on fashion, matching the needs of each person. It is the only Montessori Education U.K. accredited school in the area. Owner and operator of ESMS is Lucy Forrester (Mont Dip A.M.I), a 1992 graduate of the Maria Montessori Institute in Hampstead, London.
