Conkers Life Kindergarten

It's Christina Quigley who I am. After working as a primary school teacher for more than 18 years in Barcelona and the north-east of England, I founded Conkers Life in 2018. I was lucky to grow up on a working farm in County Durham, where I had access to the best playground imaginable. I have owned The Hagg, a fifty acre parcel of land bordering by the river Derwent, in the North East of England for the past 20 years. It is the location of Conkers Life.
I've always wanted to connect education and the environment. After my daughter was born in 2014, I realised it was finally time for me to fulfil that ambition. I established a Rudolf Steiner-inspired outdoor parent and child group after realising how important it was for families to have other options that would foster a sense of community and give early education. I earned my level three certification as a forest school leader in 2017 and have since enjoyed working with many families and their young children.
