From the School
A combined 11–18 Church of England school, Churchmead accepts pupils of all religions. We can confidently assert that because we are a relatively small Church of England secondary school (population: 420), each student is recognised for who they are. We have strong family values in our home. We ensure that every student has the best opportunities to learn and succeed and are committed to achieving the highest academic standards to ensure that all our students have the necessary skills to compete in the 21st century. As a result, we provide everyone a carefully organised, balanced, and accelerated curriculum. Our goal is to help each person grow as a whole. We place a high importance on each student's personal and social development, which is based on Christian principles such as respect for others. This notion is supported by our vertical House pastoral system, in which every student has a tutor who is directly in charge of overseeing their unique academic direction. Churchmead promotes close communication and collaboration with the family, neighbourhood, and school. Our aim is to instil in our students a love of learning and the understanding that education is a lifelong endeavour. As we produce future citizens, Churchmead believes that every learner matters.
