Charminster Preschool

An excellent preschool is Charminster Preschool. The views and feelings of the kids are respected and given great consideration. Promoting positive behaviour as well as appreciating and respecting others in the pre-school community and beyond are strongly emphasised. Everyday play includes opportunities to investigate various settings so that kids can interact and express their perspectives on the world. The Charminster Pre-School tries to combine the best elements of various educational models and ideas rather than adhering to a single pre-school teaching approach. This, in our opinion, provides the kids in our care with a wide range of diverse experiences and gives them the tools they'll need to keep growing and learning when they enter kindergarten and beyond. At all times, Charminster Pre-School adheres to the EYFS regulations. Short, teacher-led group activities as well as unstructured playtime make up a normal pre-school day. Children can roam freely between the activities that are set up in the gardens and playrooms during play sessions. 10am Snack time and unstructured play. It is encouraged to freely travel between indoors and outside. Beginning at 12:30, the afternoon session offers the chance for "play, do, review" and children's free time. A farewell song and carpet time mark the conclusion.
