The long-running Castor and Ailsworth Pre-School, located in the village hall, serves the nearby communities of Castor, Ailsworth, Marholm, Sutton, and Upton while also accepting students from other places. The Pre-School enjoys strong ties to the Village Community and Castor Primary School. We accept kids as young as 2 years, 6 months. The Tots group, associated with Pre-School, meets every Wednesday between 9.30 and 11 in the morning during the academic year. Children from birth onwards are welcome to visit with their parent or caregiver to play, interact with other kids, and get acquainted with the environment. The Tot's Group is not currently open due to restrictions, but we anticipate reopening in January 2022. We operate under the rules of a constitution and are freely administered by a committee of parents who were chosen to serve on it. We are a nonprofit preschool with charitable status that has received OFSTED approval (Office for Standards in Education). All children who attend our facility are eligible to use their 15 hours per week of paid childcare beginning in the term after their third birthday under the government's funding programme. From that point forward, parents who meet the requirements may also utilise the extra 15 hours per week of funding. As a result, many parents will receive funding for 30 hours each week. Parents are viewed as full participants in our setting and as members. One of these is the right to be. Our preschool places a high priority on the opinions, encouragement, and participation of all parents and caregivers. Throughout the week, activities from outside organisations include sports instructors. A sign language. lessons in drama and dance (postponed during the Pandemic).
