Busy Otters

Ottery St. Mary and the surrounding neighbourhood can attend Busy Otters, a preschool administered locally. The committee-run organisation was initially registered in 1987 and recently became a charitable corporation (CIO). Our accounts can be found here. We are a recognised charity with the tax identification numbers 1177677 (CIO) and 1023260 (Old Organization). The Early Year's Alliance (formerly Preschool Alliance) model constitution, which is available here, is used as the basis for our governance document. Our most recent inspection report is available online, and our Ofsted number is EY560108 / EY421724. Please be aware that although this displays the setting as "closed," this is not the reality! However, as a result of being a CIO, we now have the new number EY560108. The committee assists with fundraising while the trustees oversee the operation of the preschool. We are all the parents of Busy Otter students, both present and former. We give freely of our time because we wish to contribute to the improvement of this environment.
