One of the virtues that is openly taught in our school's guidelines is responsibility.
Throughout the school day, as well as when we reflect on and examine the effects of our behaviour on others in communal worship, the value of laws—whether they be those that govern the class, the school, or the country—is continually emphasised.
Students participate in establishing class regulations.
They are instructed on the importance of laws, their justifications, how they regulate and safeguard us, the duties attached to this, and the repercussions of breaking the law.
Crucial Crew, an interactive life skills workshop organised and supervised by the emergency services, is available to students in year 6.
With the knowledge that they are in a secure and encouraging atmosphere at school, students are actively encouraged to make decisions.
Our mission as a school is to educate and set limits for young students so they can make decisions safely. To do this, we provide a secure environment and empowering instruction.
Students are encouraged to be aware of, comprehend, and exercise their rights and liberties, and are given guidance on how to do so safely, for instance through our E-Safety and PSHE lectures.
The care and dedication we have for every member of the school community is vital to our school's culture.
Respect for others is promoted by signs and displays around the school, and it is emphasised in lessons and by our behaviour policy.
By giving students opportunities to experience cultural diversity and by helping them better comprehend their place in a diverse society, we can teach them tolerance.
