Beach House Day Nursery

The government has outlined the importance of British values in enabling everyone to live in welcoming and secure communities where they feel a sense of belonging.
Beach House Nursery actively promotes the fundamental values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths or beliefs.
These are interpreted by our children as learning right from wrong; learning to take turns and share; and challenging negative views and stereotypes.
These values are not unique to Britain but are universal aspirations of equality and are, as such, fundamental to helping all children become compassionate, considerate adults who form part of a fair and equal society.
All children are listened to and are involved in the shaping of their learning across the EYFS.
The five core British Values are regularly promoted and reinforced at Beach House.
Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs- at Beach House, we celebrate cultural diversity, and aim to enhance childrens understanding through learning about, and participating in a range of different cultural events throughout the year.
At Beach House Nursery we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
The Prevent Duty is the duty on the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 on specified authorities, in the exercise of their functions, to have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.
From 1st July, 2015, all schools and registered early years providers have a duty to have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.
As a nursery, we need to think about how we can protect children from the risk of radicalisation.
It is important to understand that we already do a great deal, both to protect our children and to promote British values simply by following the EYFS.
Our nursery is renowned for its warmth and its caring ethos.
Under our guidance, children learn right from wrong, they begin to mix and share with others children and value others views, they learn about similarities and differences between themselves and others, and challenge negative attitudes and stereotypes.
