Following self-registration, the kids are greeted at the door and invited to sit on the carpet for a tale and registration. At this point, the children are introduced to the day's activities and the weather, day, and date are discussed. Any noteworthy news may also be disclosed. The kids collaborate in small groups with their Key-person or Key-person Buddy throughout this time. They are given a chance to engage in an experience or activity designed to meet their specific requirements in one of the seven learning domains identified by the Early Years Framework. Both indoor and outdoor play reflect the learning areas, therefore each week's activities will be chosen from a varied spectrum. The teachers will be working with the kids during this time to strengthen their language and arithmetic abilities and promote problem-solving while also stimulating their thought processes. All of the kids are invited to assist with the cleanup toward the end of the lesson. We have snack time during free play. When the kids are ready for their snack, they are urged to wash their hands and use the restroom. Each child is given a drink, either milk or water, as well as snacks like a piece of seasonal fruit or vegetable, a bread stick, or a cube of cheese. The kids are helped with food preparation and drink pouring. The kids can participate in singing phonics and take part in a variety of musical, dance, and dramatic activities. The kids will share stories using books, CDs, puppets, and other props in age- and stage-appropriate groups. Before heading home, the kids are then urged to put their own coats on. Your child's happiness and security in the nursery setting should be the primary focus of their time at Ashridge Nursery.
