art-K Ewell

Children are given a well-rounded art education in art-K, including sketching, painting, and 3D modelling. The atmosphere in our art classes is supportive, welcoming, and non-competitive. This enables each learner to progress at their own rate while honing their particular set of skills. Our students develop greatly over time in terms of creativity, expression, and self-assurance. Their perception of themselves and how others perceive them may both shift as a result of this confidence. Kathryn practised art her entire life, sketching on any piece of paper she could get her hands on. She also wanted to work with children, so she chose to major in speech and language therapy at university (although several of her interviewers were surprised when Kathryn inquired about the course's art option!). At art-K Greenwich, Layla is the art assistant featured in this month's teacher spotlight. She first joined our first art-K branch as a student, and she later came back as an assistant in 2017 because she wanted to keep interacting with our programme and students. She told us about her educational experience and how it had aided her in reaching her current position.
