We are very proud of the accomplishments of our kids, the calibre of our personnel, and the pre-school standards.
The goal of Altarnun Pre-School is to provide your child with the best start possible in life by laying the groundwork for future learning in an environment where kids can explore their surroundings, make friends, develop their imaginations, share, and work cooperatively with others, gain the confidence to suggest and try out new ideas, seek out new challenges, and discover new things, but most importantly, have fun and fall in love with learning.
The students receive assistance from our knowledgeable and committed team in becoming competent learners, self-assured people, and members of society.
We accept children from two years old to five years old and are registered with OFSTED to provide part-day care. For more information about the many financing options available, go to Childcare Choices.
Since March 2018, I have worked at Altarnun Pre-School.
I have over 15 years of experience working with children, and seven of those years were spent in managerial positions. I have a special interest in the psychology and behaviour of children.
Additionally, I've had expertise dealing with SEN kids and the appropriate assisting experts.
I have been employed by Altarnun Preschool since December 2018, and right now I serve as the deputy manager.
I love working with kids, and I'm really happy with what I do.
Introducing kids to their surroundings, especially outdoors where they can explore and wonder using all five senses, inspires me.
My name is Fiona, and I assist Roz, Tracey, and Sophie in managing the pre-school on a daily basis.
For the previous 20 years, I have worked in the early years.
After that, I joined the Local Authority's Early Years Team, where I remained until just a few short months ago.
I've participated in a variety of training programmes throughout the years to expand my knowledge, and I've been lucky to gain a tonne of experience while serving as an early years support assistant.
My own two kids are five and eight years old, and we like to spend time together at home on our family farm.
This is Sophie.
In March 2021, I began working at Altarnun Preschool.
Currently, Roz, Tracey, and Fiona and I work together.
Working with kids and fostering their growth during their time in pre-school is something I'm passionate about.
Over the years, I've taken a number of training courses that have advanced my understanding of and experience dealing with kids.
In 2018 I graduated with my degree in BA Early Childhood Education at the University of St Mark and St John in Plymouth.
I have a particular interest in the outdoor environment as children can explore the areas using natural resources.
