Because he couldn't hold a pen when our founder Chizzy's son first started school more than ten years ago, his instructor inquired as to whether he had attended nursery.
Chizzy was incredulous! Her young son had attended nursery for more than two years, yet he was nonetheless unprepared for school. She was very upset by it.
As a parent, she realised she didn't know what was required of a child when they entered school, such as the ability to write their own name, put their coat on, eat on their own, and pay attention during story time.
She became so passionate about wanting to prevent other kids and parents from going through similar experiences as a result of it.
Zippys Day Nursery was founded following two years of searching for the ideal location and assembling the ideal team.
Since then, our nursery on Greenwich High Road has provided care for more than 1500 kids.
Our area of expertise is play-based learning, with a focus on 7 essential learning areas to provide every child the foundations they require to succeed and be happy when they enter school.
