We are a loving and engaged church community in the heart of Plympton's Woodford neighbourhood.
We provide services and activities for all ages as we seek to worship God together and show His love to our community.
Every Sunday at 10:30am Sunday morning worship with a mix of modern and traditional worship, and activities for the children.
We have a range of activities throughout the week for all ages including House Groups, Youth Bible study, Youth Club, and other outreach events and projects.
Thursdays during the school year WOODYS YOUTH CLUB (Details to follow upon relaunch in October). During World War Two, many notable buildings in Devonport and Plymouth were destroyed under the rain of destruction that fell from the skies.
Many churches were destroyed and among them, on the night of 21-22 March, 1941, was the East Street Methodist Church in Stonehouse.
After the war, grants for the rebuilding of East Street Methodist Church were arranged.
However, not in Stonehouse, but at Woodford and on the 18th October 1958 the foundation stone was laid.
Over 600 people a week use the Church premises in one way or another, so it really is at the centre of the community.
It comprises not only a worship area but a large hall with stage, a kitchen, two classrooms and a comfortable lounge.
There is a wide range of activities suitable for all ages.
