Woodcroft's internet connection is provided through an Essex County Council contract. This provides a very robust firewall. It cannot be accessed privately.
This secure firewall protect pupils from inappropriate content. Children are always under close adult supervision when using the internet. When using school ipads wifi is only used with adults present, at other times the wifi is switched off and apps are used off line.
We do have a school facebook page and a blog spot. This is managed by senior members of staff and not accessed by the children independently. Parents give signed permission for children's photos to be used, and children's full names are never 'tagged' or written on the sites.
