Windsor Montessori House Of Children

In the gorgeously renovated Crown Estate building across from the Windsor Farm shop, Windsor Montessori House of Children was founded in November 2015 with the support of the Crown Estate to assist working parents in combining childcare and Montessori education for their children from 6 months to 6 years.
The Crown Estate restored it to create a secure purpose-built nursery/school with a lovely wide yard for outdoor play.
WMHOC is open for 51 weeks a year, with one week off for the holiday season.
Children between the ages of 3 and 5 are accommodated on the building's bottom floor.
Separate from the classroom, the upstairs is a planned setting for infants, toddlers, and young children ranging in age from 6 months to 2 and a half years.
The prepared environments stated above assist the child's many phases of learning and growth by presenting an unbroken succession of learning passages.
We have divided our three classrooms into multi-age classrooms as a result.
Our seasoned, mature key person caring for the infants will provide a warm, loving, nurturing environment and work alongside parents to promote each child's natural growth.
In order to allow the kid to move freely, investigate his or her surroundings, and improve his or her motor skills in a secure setting, a natural and spacious space is provided.
Children will have the chance to live in their "own small civilization" thanks to this programme.
To help the infant during this delicate time in life and to pique their curiosity, the room will be sensitively set up to feel "homey."
Children learn to focus when working both independently and in groups.
The youngster is assisted by this programme in entering our downstairs pre-school classroom.
The mixed age group in our Montessori pre-school setting downstairs allows the younger children to learn from the activities of the bigger children and gives the older children the chance to educate and nurture the younger children.
Children study all seven EYFS learning domains at their own pace in a non-competitive environment.
Through internal security, a sense of order, self-esteem, initiative, and perseverance, the classroom is set up to give kids a head start on developing a favourable attitude toward learning and school.
