Under the Willow opened in 2012 in a superb leafy setting, in the heart of a family neighbourhood in the Dulwich Herne Hill area.
In 2018 we made the exciting decision to become a Montessori nursery.
In 2018 we re-equipped the nursery with a wide range of Montessori materials to bring the very best educational experience to every child.
At Under the Willow, we have a happy team of qualified and experienced teachers and practitioners who focus on providing the best possible care and education, in a happy fun and nurturing environment.
We aim to make every day a joy for each child and when the time comes we help you to prepare your child for an easy and confident move to big school.
Our facilities and activities at Under the Willow are structured around the different needs of young children, toddlers and babies who will make lots of new friends and learn more about socialising through play and activities.
If you're a working parent with children under 12 (or under 17 for disabled children), you could be eligible for Tax Free Childcare - call us today for more information.
We have some places available for children receiving the two year old grant.
In 2018 we became a Montessori nursery, and our practice is now inspired by the educational philosophy of Dr Maria Montessori.
Through exciting project work and covering the Montessori Curriculum and the EYFS we allow every child to make exciting discoveries for themselves.
As Practitioners and Teachers we get to see childrens hearts and minds unfurling, awakening to the amazing world around us.
We know our role is a privileged one.
Public transport is close and easy to use, it is just a 10 minute walk to Herne Hill railway station for the City and the West End.
Brixton tube station is a short bus ride.
So no need to use a car and we can store your buggy for you to pick up later when you collect your child.
There is also a place for scooters and cycles.
Policies.
All our policies are available to our parents: hard copies are in our reception and our nursery office.
