With the help of our family and friends, my husband Graham and I designed and built Tiddlywinks Nursery in 1989. Graham is a skilled carpenter.
We are recognised among the top 17 nurseries in Birmingham, having received a third Outstanding Grade from Ofsted, while continuously striving to provide the finest possible care for our families, employees, and the surrounding neighbourhood.
Since I became certified as an N.N.E.B. at the age of 18, I have had a long history of working in childcare settings, first in education and social care settings, then in neonatal care at the Women's Hospital.
enabling me to reach the level of Working Graduate Leader 6.
We have a continual waiting list, 19 children ages 1 to 5, and a good reputation for providing high-quality childcare.
I am a proactive manager that oversees the blue group of children, which ranges in age from one to two. Our staff retention rate is high, and we have a high staff ratio.
I have six employees working for me: level 6, 5, and 3.
Trevor and Chloe are our two children; we also have a son. Our daughter works at Tiddlywinks, where she is leading the way in our adoption of Makaton and assisting kids with special needs.
Graham and I are devoted to Tiddlywinks and appreciate the assistance from the Birmingham Early Years Development Team, S.E.N.C.O., our neighbourhood networking team, and of course our clients' families and a fantastic staff.
